AMT is a family-owned company that has been developing and producing industry and customer specific drive solutions for almost 40 years with a focus on battery-powered applications. The product portfolio comprises electric motors, transmissions, electromagnetic brakes and special drives for applications in the fields of electric wheelchairs, stair lifts and stair climbers, as well as mobility scooters. The company’s customers are essentially major international manufacturers of mobility solutions for the elderly and for disabled people.

The company’s long-term success is based, in particular, on its high manufacturing depth and its modular product range, which provides customers with a strong “Made in Germany” quality level while, at the same time, offering a high degree of flexibility. Together with the managing shareholder and, as part of a succession plan, Odewald KMU intends to continue to grow sustainably over the coming years, with a consistently high rate of innovation and, in particular, to further expand the company’s international presence.
