Odewald KMU has successfully sold its majority stake in ARTUS Group to Castik Capital

Odewald KMU, together with the founders and the management, acquired a stake in ARTUS in May 2019. At the time, ARTUS was a regional provider of damage restoration services with around 100 employees at 7 locations in northern and central Germany and generated a total output of around EUR 50 million.

During the successful joint partnership, the organizational structures were expanded and numerous organic growth initiatives, including the takeover of teams at new locations, were implemented. In addition, a total of four local competitors were acquired and integrated into the ARTUS Group as part of an active buy-and-build strategy. As a result of these organic and inorganic growth measures, the branch network as well as the service portfolio were expanded and the number of employees increased significantly.

Today, ARTUS is one of Germany's leading providers of services in the fields of fire, water and natural hazards damage restoration as well as building drying and heating. With currently more than 350 employees at 24 locations, the company offers complete solutions for the entire restoration process and is planning a total output of around EUR 130 million in the current fiscal year 2022.

The envisaged development and targets set for ARTUS at the beginning of the investment have thus been significantly exceeded and the growth path of the company has been successfully continued. At the same time, Odewald KMU is convinced that the foundation for the next growth phase has been established in recent years.
