Odewald KMU closes Fund I with successful exit from Spieth & Wensky

Odewald KMU has successfully sold its portfolio company Spieth & Wensky. As a full-range supplier in the traditional fashion segment, Spieth & Wensky combines natural materials, first-class workmanship and an unmistakable design that is inspired by Bavarian culture and craftsmanship and at the same time sets modern accents. With the Spieth & Wensky and Beckert brands, the company is now the market leader in traditional fashion and has been the official outfitter of FC Bayern Munich for over 15 years. The company sells through specialised retailers, eight of its own stores and an online shop.

The management of Spieth & Wensky significantly increased its shareholding as part of the transaction and will continue to manage the company in the future.

With this transaction, the portfolio of the first Odewald KMU fund has been fully realised. Thanks to several successful exits - most recently Spieth & Wensky - the fund can be closed in a timely manner with a very good return for its investors.
