Odewald KMU continues to expand with Education partners

In August 2023, Education partners, a portfolio company Odewald KMU, acquired the Berlin-based Business Trends Academy, a provider of online continuing education for professionals and executives in the field of government-sponsored education, and Vienna-based Dogtisch, an online continuing education provider in the animal sector. In the 1st half of 2023, Education partners has already been able to acquire two smaller providers of continuing education in the areas of tourism and animal psychology.

In the context of these acquisitions, the planned succession of the two founders of Education partners could also be implemented. The two gentlemen, who will remain shareholders, joined the company's advisory board on August 1, 2023. In the future, the management will be taken over by the two managing partners, Dr. Dorthe Windeck and Maxi-Marlen Fleischmann.

Since the investment of Odewald KMU in Education partners in September 2021, a total of four acquisitions could be implemented in addition to the development of the organizational structures and the introduction of numerous organic growth initiatives. Revenues could thus be more than tripled from EUR 6 million in 2020 to EUR 20 million in 2023. As a result, Education partners, with its thematic focus on pedagogy, health, business and pets, is already one of the leading continuing education providers in the DACH region with more than 50 employees in Lippstadt, Berlin and Vienna.

In addition to the diverse potentials in the organic development, further acquisitions are to be made in the very attractive market for online continuing education. Against this background, financing was set up with the AkquiVest Debt Fund, which will accompany the further organic and inorganic development of Education partners.
